The Singapore Red Cross

What We Are

Red Cross work in Singapore began in 30 September 1949 as part of the British Red Cross Society and the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) was incorporated by an Act of Parliament on 6 April 1973.

The SRC is part of a world-wide, non-political, non-religious movement which based its work on the fundamental principles of:

1. Humanity
2. Impartiality
3. Neutrality
4. Independence
5. Voluntary service
6. Unity
7. Universality

An independent humanitarian organisation, it raises its own funds in serving humanity and furthering the work of the Red Cross locally and internationally.
