Background
The Red Cross Home for the Disabled (Home), situated at Elizabeth Drive currently provides long-term residential services and short-term respite care to seventy-nine severely disabled residents between the age of 9 - 55 years of age.
The residents of the Home suffer from various disabilities which include Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy and other severe physical deformities. This is the only residential Home in Singapore that provides residential care to the severely disabled in Singapore.

The residential care is highly subsidised, with an Operating Expenditure of over $600,000 annually. The residents pay a monthly fee according to the family's income and ability.

You can make a difference today by volunteering and sharing your expertise, time, and resources in the caring for our residents. Volunteers are needed in befriending our residents, organising art activities and outings. In addition, doctors, nurses and physiotherapists are required to provide nursing care and physiotherapy and occupational therapy to the residents.
